Rarity Scale – Very Rare

Here we have a very nice 1st pressing copy of the second album released by “The Graham Bond Organization” called “The Sound Of 65”. Original copies became very rare nowadays.
The disc of this very copy has to de graded very conservative. The playback is absolutely stunning. Sharp sounds with almost no distortion. It sound amazing for an album nearly 57 years old!! If we playgrade the album it is EX+. When we do the visual inspection we some a couple of hairlines on both sides. Side A shows a small but a bit more serious line. We did a very carefull listen and we noticed only a few super tiny almost inaudible pops. The music overpowers this completely. To be sure we grade the disc EX-.
Overall we must say this is a quality pressing done by “Columbia”. It is a thick quality vinyl and which produced a lovely deep and clean sound. The labels are lovely with only a few spindle traces on both sides.
The sleeve is in EX condition. The front laminated flipback cover looks superb on front. The laminate is fully intact. Near the opening we see a few small creases. Nothing serious. All the corners and edges are OK and show only some very minor age wear.
The spine is lovely and fully readable. The opening is also very nice.
The flips on the back are fully intact and only shows some age wear. The unlaminated part on the back is really and only show some minor age stains. The sleeve is intact and has no writing, tears and other nasty defects.

This copy comes with the correct original inner sleeve.

Please take a very good look at the photos to get a good impression!

About this record.

“The Sound of 65” was the second album released by “The Graham Bond Organization”, the band around Graham Bond. Graham Bond is a well know figure in the UK Beat and later progressive scene.
The music on this albums is great! If you are a fan of 60’s UK Beat, this album is a true must!! The songs are very well arranged. Great mastering, producing and also pressing! The musicianship is outstanding!!
Graham Bond and his band released two albums in the mid 60’s on the highly collectable “Columbia” label. Columbia made name for releasing true quality mono and stereo releases of great names like “Yardbirds” and “The Pink Floyd”.
After the “Graham Bond Organization”, Graham Bond made a step into progressive music and released two albums on the “Vertigo” label. Both albums are highly collectable but the music is a bit dull.

I want more information about this record.
