A large selection of rare vinyl records from the golden era.
Weed was a German krautrock band who released there only album in 1971. The tracks on the album are all recorded in March 1971 at the Windrose-Dumont Time Studio.
The music is typical heavy kraut with a lot of fuzz guitar. It is dark and heavy.
The artwork on the sleeve is very cool but also a bit funny and fits perfectly in the time it was made. We do not know who made the artwork, so if anybody knows, please let us know.
There is something special about Weed. We say it’s a rumour but we can’t confirm it… The band maybe has one well known member called Ken Hensley from Uriah Heep. Back in the days, Ken went to Germany to record this album with 5 German artists. Known names from those five are Ben Hohmann is a multi-instrumentalist and singer who also sang in Virus and Reinhold Spiegelfeld who also played in Virus.
But again, we can not confirm if it’s really Ken who is playing;).
