Rarity Scale – Very Rare
Here we have a like new condition copy of the very rare Swedish release of the “Them – Belfast Gypsies” album from 1967. This is a copy with the important 45 credit at the bottom of the label.
The disc looks absolutely amazing. Both labels are super clean with only 1 spindle trace on side 1 on no spindle traces on side 2. The vinyl shows some small traces like very thin hairlines (which are not audible) and some very minor traces of residue of the old inner sleeve. Sometimes old inners causes a reaction which makes the vinyl a bit less sheen. Sometimes it is audible. In the cause the disc sounds absolutely amazing. Really good for an Sonet pressing. Most Sonet albums doesn’t sound really good (poor pressings). Overall we grade the disc EX+ to NM.
We can be very short about the sleeve. The fully laminated single sleeve is amazing! The front, all the corners, back, spine and opening are in near perfect condition. The only thing we can see is a bit of browning on the back which is no problem at all if you ask us.

Everybody knows Them. The band which had a lot of fame during the years Van Morrison was involved. The band had a lot of success during the 60’s, especially in the years 1964 till 1966. After Van Morrison left the band, Them wenst to Belfast. The brothers Pat and Jackie MacAuley brought new life to the band under the name “Belfast Gypsies”. In 1967 the album “Them – Belfast Gypsies” was released only in Sweden and one year later in the Netherlands. Later the album was also released in other countries. The album was records in May and June 1966 during four sessions in London and Copenhagen with producer KIm Fowley.
The music on the album contains the well known “Them” sound. It is really good and very enjoyable for the fans of Them eventhough Van Morrison is absent.
