Rarity Scale – Mega Rare
We found a lovely copy of one of the rarest UK “Deram” releases, called Zakarrias! An amazing prog/psych album from 1971!
The disc of this copy is in near perfect condition. We are very positive about the Decca/Deram pressing quality of the late 60’s and early 70’s. The used vinyl and pressing quality is much better compared to other labels from the era. The sound on this disc is liud and clear with only the lightest of background/crackle and the very beginning and run-out of both sides. During playtime this copy is really amazing to listen to. We wish most copies of our beloved albums were pressed in this quality. The labels are also clean with only a very few tiny spindle traces showing this record haven’t seen many record players during its 50 year life.
The sleeve is in EX condition with only some lamination lift here and there you see very often with this kind of sleeves. The spine is lovely and fully readable. Also the opening of the sleeve looks really good with only some minor wear.
The white unlaminated back of the sleeve is the most fragile past of this front laminated single sleeve. The back of this cover looks much better compared to most copies with only some minor wear here and there. It is a tiny bit dirty but that’s about it. The top egde of the sleeve has some minor storage wear caused by the disc.

Zakarrias is a well known album among rare record collectors nowadays, but during the time of release this album was completely overlooked by the public.
“Zakarrias” was a one album band founded by the Austrian singer/musician Robert Haumer alias Bobby Haumer. The man was from Vienna and wasn’t unsuccesfull in his own country.
In 1970 Robert Haumer went to London (UK) to give it a try and formed a new band together with Huw Lloyd-Langton (played in Hawkwind) and drummer John Lingwood who later played in “Steamhammer” and “Manfred Mann’s Earth Band”.
The three lads formed Zakarrias. The group was offered a contract by Deram and they were able to release an album on this legendary label, now offered here for sale.
The music on this album is progressive rock witch psychedelic and Folk Rock influences. The songs are veery well crafted.
The vocals of Robert needs your taste to like, but you reallt have to give this album a chance and listen to it a couple of times to discover how nice it really is. We actually love it a lot and are really proud we are able to offer a really nice copy on our website.
