This is the debut album by the legendary UK Folk outfit “Trees”. “The Garden Of Jane Delawney” is concidered by many collectors of one of the moste essential UK Folk albums from The Golden Era. The album is loved by many.
The disc of this copy is in EX+ condtion. The vinyl surface looks prestine. Amazing for an album of this age!! There are no major lines, scratches, scuffs and other nasty defects! The music plays loud and clear with only the slightest of crackle at the very beginning and run-out of both sides! Also the labels are very nice with only one or two tiny spindle traces on both sides. overall a lovely superb copy!
The sleeve is in EX condition. overall, the very fragile unlaminated single sleeve is fully intact buit shows some age and storage wear here and there. The corners of the sleeve shows some minor wear.
The front is really nice. No tears, major stains and creases.
The bottom and top edge shows some wear. Probably due to storage.
The spine is lovely and fully readable. Also the opening of the sleeve is really nice and sharp.
The back of the sleeve is even more fragile compared to the front. The darker colors are sensitive for ring wear. There is almost no ring wear on this copy! It only shows some minor storage wear. Overall this sleeve is really nice and much better compared to most copies.
This copy comes with the original CBS inner sleeve is VG+ condition.

“The Garden Of Jane Delawney” was the first album released by “Trees”, the famous UK Folk outfit. The band was released in the early months of 1969. In the summer of 1969 the group managed to get an contract at CBS records and released 2 albums in 1970 (The Garden Of Jane Delawney) and early 1971 (On The Shore).
After these 2 fantastic albums the band never released an studio album again under the name “Trees”. Only a live album was released many years later in 1989. In 2018 David Costa and Brias Boshell performed together under the name “The On The Shore Band” and played music made by “Trees” during live gigs.
The music on both albums is without any doubt UK Folk but with some psychedelic influences. It is fantastic and one of our favourite UK Folk albums.
