Here we have a near perfect copy of the mega rare debut solo album by Anne Briggs!
The disc of this album is in lovely condition. The vinyl is super clean and shiny. It looks almost like new! Also the labels are really nice. They are clean, there is no writing and only a very few spindle traces.
The playback of this mono copy is lovely! It has only the slightest crackle here and there at the very beginning and run-out of both sides and a tiny bit during quiet parts (pressing). The copy we have here up for sale is a MONO copy. The disc doesn’t have any hairline, scratch or other nasty mark. The surface of the vinyl is simply amazing! Overall we grade the disc NM/M-.
The sleeve is also in near perfect condition. It is much beter compared to many copies. The front of the sleeve is NM. There is one small crease near the opening and on the top and bottom of the front. Nothing serious. Near the spine there some very small lamination lift which is completely normal.
The spine is perfect and fully readable. The opening is like new and really sharp!
The back of the front laminated single cover is near perfect. No ringwear at all!! That’s unique! It is super clean and looks like it was bought yesterday!!
This copy comes with the correct polylined UK-patent inner sleeve!

We think many of you rare record collectors know Anne Briggs. The UK folk singer made 2 albums during The Golden Era and one album many years later in 1996. The album here up for sale is her debut album, which nowadays became very rare. The album was released on the tiny “Topic” label.
Her full name is Anne Patricia Briggs and was born September 29th 1944 in Toton (Nottinghamshire UK). She travelled a lot to perform in UK and Irish Folk clubs and venues.
Unfortunately she never managed to reach the big public with her music, but she was an influential figure in the British Folk Revival.
