Rarity Scale – Mega Rare
What we have here is a copy of the mega rare Vertigo album by Dr. Strangely Strange, called “Heavy Petting”. Released in 1970 and really hard to find nowadays decent condition.
The disc of this very copy is EX+ to NM condition. It plays loud and clear with only some minimal background at the very beginning and run-out. During the music the vinyl plays mostly immeculate! This is very enjoyable piece of listening!
The labels are clean without writing and have only a few spindle traces. Nothing serious.
The specific copy has very early stamper (1 1 2 side 1, 1 1 1 side 2) which gives this specific copy something extra.
The vinyl surface looks very clean and has no nasty lines, scratches and other defects.
The sleeve of this album is very had to find. The beautiful artwork was made by Roger Dean. The unlaminated gimmick cover is extremely fragile and almost never pops up in perfect condition. We grade the sleeve of this copy a lovely EX. It is fully intact. There is no writing and there are no tears. On the front, the right flap has a crease. Further the flaps on the front are lovely.
The spine is intact but has some storage wear. The inside part of the front cover is perfect.
The flaps on the backside of the cover are perfect. The inside of the back cover has no ringwear, only the slightest of age wear.
The opening of the sleeve is nice and sharp.
This copy comes with the correct original polylined Swirl inner with correct date code.
Please take a very good look at the photos to get a good impression!
