Rarity Scale: Mega Rare
A mega rare release on the legendary Vertigo Swirl label.
Here we have one of the rarest Vertigo Swirl releases! The amazing solo album by Linda Hoyle called “Pieces of Me”. Well known for her contribution to Affinity.
The disc of this copy is in absolutely pristine condition. It plays like new with only minimal crackle at the very beginning of both sides (pressing). The labels are perfect with just 1 or 2 spindle traces. We grade the disc NM.
The super fragile cover only consists minor storage wear. Nothing serious. We do believe the price sticker on the back is the original price tag. The printing quality combined with dark colours and no lamination makes this sleeve super fragile. Most copies are full of ring wear and other storage wear. The spine is fully readable and also the opening is sharp. A lovely gatefold for a 50 year old record. We grade this sleeve EX+.
The record comes with it’s original and correct date coded inner sleeve.

Linda Hoyle became known as the lead singer of “Affinity” which was also released on the Vertigo label. After Affinity was disbanded, Linda Hoyle managed to release a solo album on Vertigo in 1971.
A beautiful piece of well arranged songs emerged on “Pieces of Me”. She does not produce a typical own sound on this record but more a collection of lovely blues, progressive, singer/songwriter tunes which are perfect for here lovely voice. It’s a presentation of how good she is as a singer. In every song she uses her voice in a different way. Absolutely amazing and doesn’t disappoint in one single way!!
After this beautiful piece it took decades before she released a new album. In 2017 she released her last album “The Fetch”. Not as good as “Pieces of Me” but still very nice to listen to. Her voice is more than 50 years older but still sounds it was made in 1971.
This copy is near perfect for the most serious record collectors who will go for at least EX+ copies!!
