Rarity Scale – Hyper Rare
Up for sale here, we have an incredible rare package of Dutch Garage/Psychedelic cult album “Outsiders – C.Q.” released in 1968.
The disc of the album is in EX+ condition. Side 1 shows a tiny mark on the vinyl but is not audible (playgraded with a Thorens TD124) It looks stunning with only a very few tiny inaudible hairlines. The disc plays amazing with only some minimal crackle at the very beginning and run-out of both sides. The labels are super clean with only a very few spindle traces on both sides prooves this disc havn’t seen many record players during its life.
The sleeve is in really nice EX+ condition. The very fragile outside laminated gatefold sleeve shows minimal age and storage wear on the outside. It is super clean and one of the best examples I have seen in years. The spine is lovely and fully readable. The very fragile inside of the gatefold is amazing with no ring wear at all!
The promo crate which off course is the most important piece of this object is fully complete and intact. It is the only example I have seen in my life and was amazed even the original suction cups, glue and original protection styrofoam was still there.
All the parts of the box are lovely with minimal age wear. Therefore I grade the crate EX+ to NM.
Maybe this is a once in a life time opportunity to own such a rarity. It is a piece of art which will going up in value more and more!
This copy comes with the correct original plain paper inner sleeve.

A large selection of rare vinyl records from the golden era.
In 1968 the Outsiders recorded and released their absolute masterpiece “C.Q.”. One of the very best albums coming out of the Netherlands during the Golden Era.
The famous Dutch artist Anton van der Gulik (1936) was asked to make a design for the cover of the album.
He presented 2 different designs, one yellow and the other one orange, both consisiting of 4 panels. “Polydor” choose the yellow design (the orange 2nd design was used for a 2011 reissue of the album).
The design was presented as a screen print on metal sheets. For promotional purposes of the album 80 extra sets of the design where manufactured by Anton van der Gullik. The set up for sale here is the original number 21/80.
The wooden promo crate includes 4 screen printed steel plates of the original choosen yellow design (48cm x 48cm). Also included are 4 screen printed steel plates of the orange design (32,5cm x 32,5cm).
The original manual is still included, as well as the 16 original 60’s suction cups to hang the plates. Even the original glue tube is still in this crate.
The 4 plates an be combined in 256 different ways.
