We have managed to find a lovely copy of the debut album by Traffic, called “Mr. Fantasy”.
The disc of this copy is in EX to EX+ condition. The vinyl still has its full sheen but also shows some small hairlines. None of them are audible. The album plays with some minor crackle here and there especially at the very beginning and run-out of both sides of the disc. Further the music plays loud and clear! Overall we must say this copy is still in great condition with a lovely playback. Both of the smooth stereo Pink Eye Island labels are clean and undamaged but both sides show some spindle traces.
The sleeve is in EX condition. The super fragile die-cut gatefold sleeve is often completely trashed. This one survived very well!. The front of the sleeve is very nice with only some aging and storage wear near the edges. The spine is intact and fully readable but discoloured like all. The spine has a minuscule tear near the bottom which is nothing serious at all.
The back of the sleeve is very nice but it hase some minor creases near the left bottom. It also shows some very minor beginning ring. The inside of the sleeve is lovely with only some aging/browning near the edges. The Die-Cut opening is intact and sharp!
This copy comes with the original correct polylined inner sleeve. This is a beautiful copy to enlarge your Island Records collection!

Off course everybody know Traffic! The amazing psych/progressive UK band formed around Steve Winwood brought us a couple of memorable an legendary albums! Mr. Fantasy started it all! This album is a real highlight in the “Island Records” catalogue and considered a very important UK psych album made in the early days of the Golden Era.
Mr. Fantasy was released in 1967. The music on this album embodies the sound Traffic is famous for. Great arrangements, wonderfull vocals and great use of instruments. The sound is very English and very psychedelic but all covered in a atmosphere only Traffic can produce!
