Here we have an original 1st Dutch pressing of the Dutch Folk classic “Thoughts” by Jan Duindam. A beautiful selection of folk tracks. A must have for every serious Folk collector!
We can be short about the disc. It’s in briliant condition! The vinyl surface is super shiny and has the shop fresh looks! No major issues like scuffs, hairlines, scratches and other nasty defects. The disc plays fantastic. all the songs plays loud and clear with only some minimal crackle at the very beginning and run-out of both sides. Both labels are superb. Side 2 shows one spindle trace. The side 1 label is perfect. Overall we grade the disc NM.
The sleeve is EX+ to NM condition. The fragile unlaminated gatefold sleeve is near perfect. The front is lovely with only some slight yellowing near the edges. The spine is lovely and fully readable. There is some yellowing on the spine but that’s it.The back of the cover is perfect. The inside of the gatefold is also perfect. The opening is lovely but shows some minimal wave.
The bottom edge of the sleeve shows minimal storage wear.
The copy comes with the original plain white coded inner sleeve.

About this record.
Jan Duindam – Thoughts is a Dutch obscure Folk album from 1978. It was recorded and released quite late but it sounds like an album recorded in the early 70’s. For Folk lovers this is a not to be missed piece.
The music on this album is typical Folk music with Celtic influences. It sounds really nice and peacefull. The musicianship is really good.
Jan Duindam released several Folk albums during the late 70’s and 80’s. He released his work onder several names like “Interweave” and “Tail Toddle” and off course Jan Duindam. The album up for sale “Thoughts” is the most collectable piece of his work. Finding clean copies of this classic is getting really hard nowadays.
