Rarity Scale – Mega Rare
Here we have a lovely copy of the highly collectable UK jazz album “Phase III” by Rendell/Carr. A fantastic combo and to my ears one of the best UK jazz albums made.
The disc of this copy is in NM condition. The music plays abolsutely fantastic and really quiet. Off course that’s what every jazz collector wants. No nasty distortions in the music. Both vinyl surfaces looks really nice with only a very few tiny lines which are all inaudible. Both labels looks really clean with minimal spindle traces.
The matt flipback sleeve is in really nice nick. Overall I grade it EX. It’s fully intact and there is very little wear visible. This sleeve is extremely difficult to find in clean condition. This one comes really close. The back of the sleeve has a small stamp on the top right corner.
The spine is lovely and fully readable. The opening is nice and sharp.
This copy comes with the original polylined inner sleeve.
Please take a very good look at the photos to get a good impression!

The Don Rendell / Ian Carr Quintet is a very well known UK jazz combo. The group released several albums during the 60’s. Later in the 2000’s several live performances were released. Their most known album is their debut released in 1965 called “Shades of Blue”.
“Phase III” was released in 1968 and was their third album. For many this is one of their favourite.
