Up for sale, we have a beautiful NM/EX copy of “Kvartetten Som Sprängde – Kattvals”. Mega rare Swedish progressive rock.
The disc of this copy is in superb condition. It looks shop fresh and plays fantastic!! It just like it was bought yesterday. The sheen of the vinyl surface is lovely. No major defects, only a very few super tiny almost invisible hairlines. Both labels are super clean with no spindle traces at all!
The fragile laminated single sleeve is in EX condition. It’s fully intact with no major damages. The laminate is lovely and intact. No left anywhere. The corners shows minor storage wear. The sleeve shows minimal almost impossible to spot ringwear.
The spine is lovely and fully readable. The opening is super nice and only shows some minor wear.
Overall we can say this is a top copy which fits in almost every collection.

About this record.
“Kvartetten Som Sprängde” was a Swedish instrumental music group from the early 70’s. The band fits perfectly in the Northern European movement of progressive rock from that time. Just like in other countries around Europe and the world, progressive contamporary music was popular during the early 70’s. In Sweden this movement brought us several fantastic bands. “Kvartetten Som Sprängde” was one of them.
Unfortunately the band only released one album “Kattvals” in 1973 which is in my eyes a true masterpiece. This is the finest hour of instrumental progressive music. I absolutely love it. It’s fantastic from start to finish.
In 1973 the group also joined Bernt Staf on his album “Valhall”. After this project the group left the stage never to be seen again and went into obscurity.
Their album was released on the legendary Swedish “Gump” label from Stockholm. This highly collectable label released only a handfull of albums, but most of these albums are amazing!
