One of our favourite progressive rock albums from the UK and maybe our top favourite on the highly collectable “Dawn” label.
We can be very short about the disc. It is in a beautiful NM to Mint- condition. We have playgraded the disc very carefully. The sound is perfect. There is only some very light crackle at the very beginning and run-out of both sides (pressing). It plays without any distortion. No pops, no ticks, no skips, simply amazing.
The labels are also in perfect condition with only one or two spindle traces.
The sleeve is always the problem with this release. The super fragile matt gatefold sleeve is in EX to EX+ condition and is much better than most copies we have seen. The front and back of the sleeve has some minor wear with some very tiny creases and stains. But overall nothing serious. It has almost no ring wear. It has some wear near the edges.
The spine is lovely and fully readable. The opening is sharp and in perfect condition. The inside of the gatefold is perfect.
This copy comes with the corrent original PYE inner sleeve.

A large selection of rare vinyl records from the golden era.
Titus Groan released one album in 1970 on the mighty “Dawn” label. Dawn was the progressive label created by PYE and a answer to Vertigo and Harvest.
TItus Groan released only one album and one single. Both around the same time.
The music is a typical UK progressive sound with some funky influences. Great musicianship and good vocals. They really managed to create a own unique progressive sound.
Titus Groan was released in 1970 with two sleeve designs. You can find the difference on the back. Some copies do not have a band photo but instead a large band logo. We think both sleeve designs werew released around the same time. Both designs can be concidered as 1st pressings.
This copy has a sleeve with a band photo on the back.
