Here we have a really nice copy of the legendary one album psych outfit Harsh Reality. Released in 1969 on the legendary Philips label.
The disc of this very copy is in EX to EX+ condition. It plays lovely without major issues. There is some slight crackle here and there and a few tiny pops, probably caused by the pressing, because I can’t find any visible defects. The vinyl surface looks lovely with only a very few tiny inaudible hairlines. The disc plays without issues like skips and major ticks. Overall it’s a lovely disc. The labels are clean with only a few spindle traces on both sides.
The sleeve is always the problem when it comes to this album. The super fragile flimsy outside laminated gatefold always suffers big age and storage wear. This copy survived good in the past 53 years.
The cover shows no issues like writing, tears or other serious defects.
The front of the cover is really nice. The laminate is fully intact. It’s only a bit dull. The bottom edge shows some storage wear. Near the bottom left corner there is a small bumb. Nothing really serious.
The spine is lovely and fully readable. All the edges are OK with only minor age/storage wear. The back of the sleeve is also really nice with only some dull laminate. The inside of the cover is lovely.

Harsh Reality – Heaven And Hell is a fantastic UK psych album with a collection of amazing tracks. The music is pop psych with some experimental psych influences here and there. From time to time very easy to listen and here and there more complicated (ment in an positive way). The collection of songs makes this album unique and a not to be missed gem for serious psychedelic rock collectors.
Harsh Reality is an UK psych band formed in the late 60’s in England. The band had 5 members. Alan Greed (organ, piano, lead vocal), Mark Griffiths (guitar, trumpet, vocals), Dave Jenkins (guitar, harmonica, vocals), Steve Miller (bass) and Roger Swallow (Drums).
After the release of there album the group disappeared into obscurity.
