Rarity Scale: Mega Rare
The second album by the Canterbury outfit Egg. Amazing melodic progressive rock!
The disc of this 1st press copy is wonderfull. We grade it near mint. Both sides have some very small hairlines but they are all inaudible. The disc got its full sheen and it plays razor sharp! Also the labels are clean with just 2 spindle traces (one on every side).
The sleeve is in EX+ to NM condition. The front of the sleeve is near perfect. The lamination is lovely with just one very small banana crease. The spine is perfect and fully readable. Near the opening the sleeve has a very small damage due to shrinking of lamination during the years. Nothing serious!
The unlaminated back of the sleeve is also near perfect with just one or two very small stains due to aging. There is no writing, no major stains and creases and also no tears!
This copy comes with its original blue Decca stereo inner sleeve. Overall a near perfect package and definitely a copy for the serious record collectors!
Guaranteed genuine original pressings.

Egg is a well known band from the Canterbury scene. The band started in 1969 and released their melodic and wonderful debut on Deram Nova. “The Polite Force” is their second album. According to us this album is a masterpiece with very well arranged songs. The music is heavy progressive/psych/experimental music with classical influences.
The band had four members, Clive Brooks (drums), Dave Stewart (Organ, piano), Mont Campbell (Bass, vocals) and Neil Slaven (lyrics and producer).
The music on this album is really unique and can’t be compared to other bands from the era. They are heavily influenced by classical composer Bach. A real party for the more serious progressive/experimental music lover. We love it!!!
