Its all about rare vinyl!
Rarity Scale – Mega Rare
What we have here is a RCA pressing of the mega rare heavy psych album “Andromeda”!
The so called RCA pressing was pressed and released into the market directly behind the CBS pressing. The first batch of this album was made by CBS, all the later batches cam from the RCA pressing plant. Both pressings are equally rare.
We can be very short about the disc of this copy! It is immeculate! What an copy! The music plays loud and clear with only the slightest background crackle at the very beginning and run-out! The music plays loud and clear and really clean. It is a super enjoyable example. The labels are clean with no writing, tears, stains and other defects! Simply amazing!! There are no spindle traces at all! This shows, this copy havn’t seen many record players.
The sleeve of this copy is in EX to EX+ condition. The front laminated single sleeve is super fragile. This copy is super clean with no ringwear, no major damage to the laminate and no browning. It only has a crease at the top right corner on front and on the back on the top left corner and bottom right corner. The is also a very tiny crease near the bottom left corner. Probably all caused by storage.
The sleeve shows much less age wear compared to many other copies! The colours are bright and the white is still really white.
The spine is perfect and fuly readable. The opening is like new! Lovely!
Please take a very good look at the photos to get a good impression!

A large selection of rare vinyl records from the golden era.
Andromeda is an English hard/psych/blues rock act formed in 1966. In 1969 they released their only album in The Golden Era. Years later in the 90’s they released more work.
Soon after the group was born the line-up changed. Under John Du Cann a new line-up was formed with Ian McLane and Mick Hawksworth. Together as a power trio they released their wonderful self titled debut album in 1969. Amazing fuzz guitar work from the master John Du Cann. Amazing drum work by McLane and lovely bass by Hawksworth. Vocals were done by John Du Cann, Mick Hawksworts and backing vocals by Eddie Dyche.
The lovely artwork on the sleeve which is very psychedelic is done by John Du Cann itself!
The album was recorded at Advision Sound Studios in London in June 1969.
Soon after the release of Andromeda, the band split up because John left for Atomic Rooster. Later John Du Cann was also active in Hard Stuff which released two albums on the collectable “Purple Records” label.
