Thors Hammer is a mega rare album from Denmark and was released in 1971 on the collectable “Metronome” label. This album almost never pops up for sale, especially not in this beautiful condition!
The disc of this is a stunning beauty! We grade the disc M-. It plays amazing and we can say this is a quality pressing. The playback is loud and clear! There is only the slightest of crackle here and there mostly on the very beginning and run-out on both sides (caused by the pressing). The music is a real pleasure to listen to! Both labels are realy clean with no writing and only one or two spindle traces.
The sleeve is in lovely EX+ condition. There is no writing and there are no major stains, creases and no tear. It is lovely. The fully laminated single sleeve is fully intact and has the corrected running time sticker on the back (original). The back of the cover also has the original shop sticker where it was sold back in the days.
The front on the cover looks really good with no issues. The spine is fully intact and looks really sharp. The opening is nice and sharp. The back of the cover has some minor age wear but overall nothing serious. It is a solid copy for almost every serious rare record collector.

Whan an album! We at RareProgPsych really love this type of progressive jazz-rock! It is super tastefull. The vocals are awesome, and the musicianship really good! The use of saxophone, guitar and organ is amazing!
Thors Hammer is one of the highlights from The Golden Era of progressive rock from Northern Europe.
The album was released in 1971 in the Metronome label. This label released quite a couple of prog gems from Scandinavia and Germany.
“Thors Hammer” released only one album. The band was formed as a progressive rock band in Copenhagen, Denmark. After Thors Hammer the most band members stayed together and formed the groups “Anaconda” and “Tyggegummibanden” during the 70’s.
This albums is a true Northern European jazzrock/prog hammer and almost never pops up for sale. Especially in this condition it is mega rare.
