Rarity Scale – Mega Rare
Up for sale is an amazing EX+/EX+ copy of “Artwoods – Art Gallery”. IMO one of the best UK beat albums ever released. As a UK 1st mono in this condition it’s very difficult to find nowadays.
The disc is in amazing NM condition. The LP is a quality pressing and plays amazing with only the slightest of crackle at the very beginning and run-out of both sides. All the music plays loud and clear! Just like it was bought in 1966.
Visual the disc shows only a few svery small lines (caused by the inner). None of them are audible.
Both labels with the typical Decca deep groove are in amazing condition.
The front laminated single sleeve of this rarity must be the best copy I have ever seen. Fully intact laminate, sharp corners, lovely opening and fully readable spine. The back shows only some minor age wear (browning).
This copy comes with the correct original inner sleeve.
Please take a very good look at the photos to get a good impression!

A large selection of rare vinyl records from the golden era.
The “Artwoods” was a succesfull live performance in the mid tot late 60’s but they were able to release only one album on vinyl and a handfull of 7 inches. The band released “Art Gallery” in 1966 on the legendary Decca label. It only came out as a MONO version. No problem IMHO, because it sounds amazing. This is one of my all time favourite UK Beat albums! A beautiful time piece.
“The Artwoods” actually were a kind of super group with members as Jon Lord (Deep Purple) Art Wood (brother of Ronnie Wood and Keef Hartley (The Keef Hartley Band). Damnnnn, this must be a good LP!
