Rarity Scale – Mega Rare
Up for sale here is a lovely copy of the Skin Alley debut album. Top UK progressive/fusion rock. It took me a long time to grab a copy with top sleeve. But finally, here it is!
The disc is lovely. I playgraded the album very carefully on my Thorens TD124 and it plays NM! The vinyl surface looks perfect. No nasty trails. The label of Side 2 has some sticker residue. Therefore I need to downgrade the disc to EX, but just to be conservative. The label of Side 1 is perfect. Both labels have only a very few spindle traces.
The sleeve is amazing. It’s near perfect but for this album the sleeve is perfect! It took me a very long time to find a copy with such a clean sleeve. The front laminated single sleeve is extremely fragile due to the fact most of the sleeve is white with black ink. Therefore it is sensitive for dirt and ring wear. This copy survived exptremely well.
Further the spine and opening are perfect!
This copy comes with the correct CBS company inner sleeve. Therefore this album is full complete!
Please take a very good look at the photos to get a good impression!

Skin Alley – Same is the debut album by this group. It was released in 1969 and for me this is one of my top favourite UK progressive/fusion albums. From start to finish this album is fantastic and has no fillers at all. Top musicianship!
Skin Alley were a UK progressive rock combination and were formed in 1968 by Thomas Crimble and Alvin Pope. The band released 4 albums from 1969 till 1973. The first 2 came out on CBS. The third and fourth album both were released in Transatlantic Records. All 4 albums are really good.
As stated above, it is very difficult to find a clean sleeve of this album. Most of them are trashed due to heavy ring and dirt. This copy is absolutely top!
