Up for sale here we have a very nice EX/EX copy of the legendary UK Progressive Rock album “Van der Graaf Generator – Pawn Hearts”. A highlight in the UK Progressive Rock field from the early 70’s!
The disc of this very copy plays EX+ to NM all around. It only has the slightest of the crakle at the very beginning and run-out of both sides. THe music plays loud and Clear. Tiny drawback is a name written on the B-side label. Therefore I grade the disc EX. The label of Side A is perfect.
The sleeve is in EX condition. It shows some minor age wear here and there. It is nearly impossible to find a clean sleeve of this album due to the unlaminated and dark coloured super fragile gatefold sleeve. The inside of the sleeve shows a name written near the bottom right corner.
This copy comes with the all important insert which is in EX condition because of a small crease. Further it is perfect. This insert is almost always missing!
This copy comes with the correct polylined inner sleeve.

About this record.
For me “Van Der Graaf Generator” is one of the best UK progressive rock acts ever. Their music is known to their complex but very well written lyrics and fantastic constructed music. Their sound is truly unique. The band released released most of their album on the legendary “Famous Charisma” label.
Pawn Hearts is often mentioned as one of their highlights. It is one of my top favourite albums of the band.
The album was released back in 1971. Original copies from the UK had the beautiful “Pink Scroll Charisma” labels.
