What we have here is a near perfect 2nd press copy. The vinyl of this copy is immaculate! It plays perfect without any distortion at all. Some very light background at the very beginning and endings (pressing).
The sleeve is in near mint condition. The gatefold is fully laminated on the outside but not in the inside. That’s typical for the Deram SDL-series catalogue numbers. Also the inside of the sleeve is lovely. The spine and opening are near perfect. To be honest there is not much to say about this lovely gatefold.
The package comes with it’s original correct inner stereo inner sleeve.

About this record.
Caravan is a well known band in the UK progressive rock from the late 60’s and 70’s. They are part of the legendary “Canterbury scene”. There first album is a holy grail and consists a late 60’s psychedelic sounds. Prices for the so called “Pillar cover” on the “Verve Forecast” label increasing fast nowadays.
There second album already brings there own sound. To our ears there third album “In The Land Of The Grey And Pink” from 1971 is there very best. This album became a true Canterbury classic. And from that classic we have a near perfect 2nd press for sale!
Songs like “Golf Girl”, “Winter Wine” and “In the Land of the Grey and Pink” are beyond lovely. Great vocals, guitar work and electric piano!
