Rarity Scale – Mega Rare
Here we have a lovely copy of the French progressive masterpiece “Sandrose”, released in 1972 on the Polydor label in France. Other countries also released the album about the same time but the French pressing is the most collectable.
The disc of this copy is in lovely EX to EX+ condition with only some slight crackle at the beginning and run-out of both sides caused by the pressing. Actually by far the most of the music plays NM. The music plays loud and clear with only the tiniest bit of background or the more quiet parts. Overall it is a lovely copy and the music plays amazing but it is not the world best pressing. The labels are clean with only a very few tiny spindle traces.
The laminated gatefold sleeve is in EX+ to NM condition. Absolutely amazing for an album of this age. It will be very hard to find a better copy. We can’t find many defects. The front, back and inside of the gatefold are lovely. It has some very minor age wear and storage wear. The edges and corners are OK. The bottom left corner has some very small storage wear. Further there are no major creases, stains and tears.
The spine in amazing condition. It looks like new.
This is by far the best sleeve from this album we have ever seen!
Please take a very good look at the photos to get a good impression!

Sandrose is a French progressive rock act which released only one album back in 1972. The album was released on the well known and collectable “Polydor” label. Eventhough the band is French, all vocals are in English and sung by Rose Pudwojny. An female vocalist gives a unique sound to this album. Together with fantastic and original progressive tunes, this album is super collectable among rare record collectors with an focus on progressive rock from Europe. For many this album is one of the most collectable albums from France.
It’s a pitty the band only released one album and one single before the band disappeared into obscurity.
If you love progressive rock from the early 70’s with female vocals, this album is a not to be missed masterpiece. Maybe it is even a grail for several collectors.
