Here we have a fantastic copy of the legendary 2nd album by the UK Folk Rock outfit “Heron”. Incredible hard to find in complete and top notch condition.
Both discs of this copy are in EX condition. We grade both discs with a visual and playtest in EX condition. The vinyl surface of both discs shows only a few tiny hairlines which are inaudible. Side D shows a minor spot in track 2, but we can’t hear anything when it plays. Both discs produces some minor crackle here and there.
All four labels are lovely and really clean with only a very few spindle traces. Overall 2 very nice discs and a keepers copy for most collectors. Both discs are made from the well known red translucent vinyl.
The sleeve of this copy is in EX condition. The super fragile laminated single sleeve is fully intact and only shows some minor wear here and there. To find a clean sleeve from this album is really hard. Most copies looks must worse.
The front of the sleeve looks really nice with only a few small creases near the edges. The top left corner has a minor bumb.
The spine is fully intact and fully readable. The opening is nice. The unlaminated back is also in nice condition with only some minor wear.
This copy comes with the super important “Postcard” insert and is in EX to EX+ condition. It is near perfect but only has a minor stain on the back.

Most collectors know this album. “Heron – Twice As Nice And Half The Price” is a highly collectable UK Folk gem. It’s the second album and final album released during The Golden Era. It came out in 1971 on the legendary “Dawn” label which released many UK Folk Rock and Progressive Rock albums. Many of them are super collectable nowadays.
The group was formed in Chichester, England in 1967. The group released their first studio album in 1970 simply called “Heron” which is also very collectable.
“Twice As Nice And Half The Price” is really hard to find in nice condition nowaday. Most copies have sleeves with major issues like big creases or tears. The sleeve is very poor produced. Other issue regarding this album is the postcard. The insert is almost always missing and almost impossible to find in the wild.
The music on “Twice As Nice And Half The Price” can fully placed in the UK Folk Rock genre. Beautiful songs and great musicianship. If you are a fan of UK Folk, this album is an album not be missed!
