A UK psychedelic rock act from 1970 on the Blue Pye label.
This is such a cool classic. If you are in the UK psych rock of the late 60’s and early 70’s this is an album not be missed. Unfortunately this album is getting very hard to find nowadays.
The record of this very copy is lovely. It plays almost ever Mint-. We tested this record from start to finish because the vinyl itself looks a bit less with some lines and we know Pye pressings from the early 70’s are not the best pressing. Playing the record surprised us really. What a hammer and the sound quality is really grade with only some background at the beginning and run-out. The labels are perfect with just a very few spindle traces. Overall we grade the vinyl EX.
The sleeve itself is one of the most fragile sleeves from the era. It is textured, there are a lot of dark colours and the cardboard is thin and from a poor quality.
Overall we grade the sleeve a good EX-. You can see the sleeve is more than 50 years old. The edges and corners are a bit worn. The opening is a bit rough and also the spine is not perfect but it is fully readable. There is a tiny bit of ring wear but much lesser than most copies have. There is no writing, the are just a very few tiny creases and there are no stains. A lovely sleeve for the more serious record collectors.

Fire is a one album band and released their highly collectable psych album in 1970. The artwork of this sleeve is amazing. Especially the back of the cover perfectly fits in the style of the music. The front picture is taken from the famous artwork “The Village Cobbler” by Jan Victors. The back cover is designed by Peter Dixon.
The band was formed around 1969/1970 and consists four member, Bob Voice, Dave Lambert, Dick Dufall and Paul Brett.
The music on their only album is amazing and typical psychedelic rock from the late 60’s early 70’s . Nowadays this album became a classic and easily fits in the top 20 best psych albums from the UK!
