Rarity Scale: Hyper Rare
The much wanted debut album by “The Gods” released in October 1969 on EMI Columbia. This very copy is fully signed by the band!!
The vinyl of this copy is very nice! It has a few hairlines, which are not audible. Both sides play almost ever NM with only some background here and there. No serious issue like pops, tics and other issues. The labels are amazing with only a very few spindle traces. This says this record hasn’t be played a lot. Overall we grade the vinyl EX+.
The sleeve is a good EX-. It’s fully intact. There are no tears and large creases. On the unlaminated back there is some browning due to aging and one a bit more serious stain. On the back it’s fully signed by the members of the band with the description ‘Merry X-Mas to Gaynor’.
The flipbacks are very nice but a bit aged. The spine is fully readable and intact. Simply lovely. The opening is a rough but intact. The front of the cover looks at least EX- to EX. Take a close look at the photos for a good impression. This copy comes with it

The Gods is a UK pop/psych/prog band from the late 60’s. The group was formed in 1965 and released a couple of singles and EP’s from 1967 till 1969 and also 2 studio albums in 1968 and 1969. Their debut “Genesis” from 1968 was released on the famous EMI Columbia label which also released albums from band like Pink Floyd, Yardbirds and many more.
The group consists out of 4 members, and brought us also a famous name. That was Ken Hensley. Later active in “Head Machine”, Toe Fat, Uriah Heep and several solo acts! Off course everybody knows Ken!
The music on “Genesis” is English pop/psych with some progressive elements. It give you really that late 60’s psych feeling. Well arranged songs, great vocals and good guitar work!
