Here we have an original German 1st stereo pressing of the legendary debut album by the famous heavy Kraut rockers “Eloy”!!
The disc of this copy is in EX condition. It has some background here and there, mostly at the very beginning and run-out of both sides and initially between tracks and in quiet parts. Overall nothing serious. This is still a very enjoyable copy to listen. The label of side 2 is nice and clean with only a few spindle traces. The label of side 1 is also very nice but has only a small sticker residue default. The disc still has its nice sheen but there are some hairlines here and there.
The sleeve is in EX condition. The super fragile gatefold cover with amazing artwork is fully intact with only some tiny creases. The sleeve has no major creases, stains. It has one minor tear on front at the bottom left corner. Another small issue is a small sticker default at the Philips logo on front of the cover.
The spine is fully intact and fully readable. Also the opening. is really nice. Covers of this album are rarely seen in such good condition as this one!

“Eloy” is A German heavy progressive rock band (Krautrock) from Hannover. The band was born in 1969.
The band was formed around Frank Bornemann and had several line-ups over the years. The success of Eloy was impressive and in the end we can say that this band was one of the most successfull German Krautrock bands from The Golden Era!
This band is a very well known German group in the Krautrock scene and released many albums during the years. They were pretty successfull and made some very good album.
In the early years the group made heavy krautrock which can be heared on this debut. The tunes are inspired on groups like “Uriah Heep” and “Deep Purple” with influences of “Pink Floyd”, which brought us the typical “Eloy” sound. The quality of the music is really good. During their later period, the group made music with a more experimental/progressive sci-fi sound. The albums of the mid-70′ s were concept albums.
The debut album simply called “Eloy” was released in 1971 on the Philips label. This label released a lot of well known German Krautrock bands. The cover of this album is legendary and carries the nickname “Trashcan cover”. Finding copies of this album with fully intact sleeves is very hard nowadays.
