Rarity Scale – Very Rare
Here we have a sealed copy in near perfect condition of the debut album by “The Electric Prunes” called “Underground” from 1967.
We can be very short about the disc of this copy. It is NEW! Since 1967 this copy has never been opened. So you can be sure this record has never seen a recordplayer and has the original inner sleeve;).
The seal of this album is almost fully intact. Only the bottom right and left corner has a very small opening. But it has never been possible to take the record out of the jacket. Overall we can say the record is new and in mint condition.
The sleeve is in EX+ to NM condition. It has some very minor age wear here and there but that’s it. The corners are nice. The spine is lovely and fully readable. The opening is untouched. Due to the very minor age wear we want to be very carefull and grade the sleeve a very conservative EX+.

The Electric Prunes are well known among lover of US psych band from The Golden Era. Underground is their debut album and was released in 1967. The music fits perfectly in the musical time period it was made. It is a typical mixture of US psych and garage! Lovely!! This album is a must have for every US psych lover.
The Electric Prunes is a US psychedelic rock band formed in 1965 in Los Angeles (California), San Fernando Valley to be exact. The band had minor success with the most succesfull period in 1966 when they released “I Had Much To Dream Last Night”.
The band released 2 albums. The band folded in 1968 during the record sessions of their third studio album “Mass in F Minor”. The album was finished by using session musicians and the Canadian outfit “The Collectors”. Also a 4th album was made under the name “The Electric Prunes”, but was made with other musicians. This was possible because the band name was owned by producer of all albums Dave Hassinger.
