Here we have a very nice copy of the Irish prog rock classic “Mushroom – Early One Morning”! This album became seriously rare in the past couple of years. The value of this album will only go one way… Up!
The disc of this copy is in EX+ to NM condition! It is lovely! The recording and mix of this album is beyond great!
The surface of the vinyl has still got its full sheen and only has a few very triny hairlines which are all NOT hearable!!
The labels are really nice with only a few spindle traces at both sides. The playback is lovely with only the slightest of background crackle here and there. The music is loud and clear and super enjoyable!
The sleeve of this copy is in EX to EX+ condition! It is fully intact and has no major stains, creases and tears! The outside laminated gatefold is really nice! The only a bit more serious defect is a lamination lift on the back. The laminate is still fully intact but has an air bubble at the back. This probably comes because the laminate is shrinking a bit in the years and therefore there came a bit of strength on the laminate and came loose from the cardboard. Because the laminate is still fully intact, we say this is just a minor defect.
The front of the cover is near perfect. It has a very small defect near the opening. Corners and edges are lovely. The spine is fully intact and fully readable. The opening is nice. The inside of the gatefold is perfect!!
This copy comes with the unique inner sleeve special made for this album is EX condition!

About this record.
“Mushroom” was an Irish progressive/folk outfit which only released one album back in 1973 on the “Hawk” label. “Early One Morning” was the title of their only album. Eventhough the band released only one album it looks like this was quite an expensive release with a lovely outside laminated gatefold with custom made inner. A custom inner was very unusual. Initial copies even came with a poster! We must say we are not sure only the first batch came with a poster or every copy. There is still a discussion about that. We only can say, we have seen far more copies without the poster but always with the custom inner. This copy comes with the custom inner but without the poster.
The music on this album is really unique. It is progressive rock. No doubt about that. But it has many typical UK Folk elements. Together, the music on this album is super good and really enjoyable for every prog and folk lover!
