This is one the rarest releases on the legendary Vertigo Swirl label. Released in 1971.
The disc of this mega rarity is in NM/M- condition. From start to finish this disc plays without any issues. Just superb. There are no major clicks, ticks or irritating background. The is only some minimal crackle at the very beginning and run-out of both sides (pressing). According to us, this disc sounds like it was bought yesterday!
Also the labels are clean with only very few spindle traces which prooves this disc has not seen many record players! The disc have the stamper 113 (side 1) and 112 (side 2).
The sleeve is in EX/EX+ condition. The super fragile unlaminated fold out cover is fully intact withou tears, major stains and creases. Simply amazing for such a fragile sleeve!
The front of the cover is near perfect. It has minimal storage wear near the edges and corners. The top of the left panel near the heart has a very small bend. We find this nothing serious. The spine has some minimal wear but is fully readable. Overall nothing serious. The back of the cover has some minimal ringwear near the top. Further the back is perfect. The inside of the cover is perfect!
This copy comes with the original correct Swirl inner sleeve!

A large selection of rare vinyl records from the golden era.
Dr. Z is a cult album when it comes to progressive rock album from The Golden Era! The album was released on the legendary “Vertigo” label during their best period (1969/1973), called the Swirl period.
The album is a so called concept album and is filled with a unique progressive sound. The songs are well arranged, great musicianship and good vocals. The used style with the keyboard is really unique and creates a typical sound only can be heared on this album.
Dr. Z is an one album band which released their album in 1971. The band had 3 members, Keith Keyes (vocals), Bob Watkins (keyboards), Rob Watson (drums).
The music fits perfectly on the Vertigo label which was focussed on new contemporary music back in the days.
Many say this album is the rarest on the label and only 70 copies are in existence. This album rare, yes really rare, but there are more than 70 copies around for sure! This was a myth back in the days created by sellers, but we know almost for sure it is not true. The fact there are two label variants makes it very unlikely.
