Rarity Scale: Mega Rare
Here we have a mega rare Danish 1st pressing of the Danish prog rock gem “Blast Furnca”! This item is mega rare especially in the condition of this very copy.
The single sleeve is in near perfect condition. We can’t find anything serious on ths sleeve. Maybe minuscule wear at the opening. Overall we grade this sleeve mint-. Our highest grade! The vinyl is also in perfect condition. It plays immaculate and only with the minimal background at the very beginning (pressing). The label are also perfect. The name “Casper” is the third producer and the name is printed on the label! So it’s orginal and not hand written by a previous owner. The only drawback of this piece of art is that it misses it’s original inner sleeve.
Take a very good look at the photos to see the condition.

Blast Furnace was a one-album band and released this album in 1971. The stereo album was recorded in in October 1971 at Rosenberg Studios in Copenhagen.
The band consists out of three artists: Arne Würgler, Thor Backhausen and Tom McEwan. Assistant artists on this album were Therese Damsholt and Anne-Lise Rosberg.
The music is heavy progressive rock with a lot of outstanding guitar work. And also the vocals are excellent! All songs are sung in English.
Jan Persson did the front cover artwork. Back cover is done by Niels Vankilde.
The album is considered to be one of the holy grails of progressive rock albums from Denmark. There are rumours that this records was only pressed 500 times. This could be possible but we are not a 100% sure.
Nowadays it’s extremely hard to find this album as an original copy. This is the first time this album is in our hands, and we are collecting for many years now.
